preliminary learner response

1) Type up your teacher's feedback in full plus a summary of the comments you received from other students in the class.

www-use of pan,POV and range of shots

EBI-shot/reverse shot for dialogue and fade in music. throughout the scene

2) Using a combination of your own reflection on the preliminary exercise and the feedback you were given, write three WWW bullet points and three EBI bullet points for your TV drama scene.

WWW-

  • Range of shots
  • use of dialogue
  • music choice was great

EBI

  • I need to work on my editing skills for sound
  • reverse shot/180 degree rule
  • use different settings

3) How effectively did you complete the objective you laid out in your mini preliminary exercise statement of intent?

I completed this task effectively because I did exactly what was in the brief by having two characters and record a scene with them. However I do still need to work on how to record certain shots and use 180 degree rule for dialogues.

4) What have you learned from the preliminary exercise that will help you in the actual coursework project?

In this project I have learned that I need to use school camera for my shots and use of different locations in my shots in order to make my trailer look realistic.

5) Now you have completed the preliminary exercise, will you change anything in your actual TV drama trailer? This could include narrative, character and script or technical elements such as mise-en-scene, camerawork and sound.

I will change the way my sound is shown in tv drama because I don't want the song to fade out like my preliminary exercise.
