Create a blogpost called 'Print brief research and planning' and complete the following tasks to plan and prepare your print work:

magazine key conventions

3) Find at least three contents pages from culture, lifestyle or music magazines on Google images. How are contents pages designed? How do they use a combination of text and images to create an effective design?
Content pages are designed by having a central image in the middle and then the text in the side which can relate back to the topic which the magazine is about and the text is arranged in bullet points and number which go in a chronological order.
4) Find at least three double-page spread features from culture, lifestyle or music magazines on Google images. How are they designed? How are text and images displayed? What design tricks can you borrow from your examples?
Double page features have a image in one page and text on the other which relates to the image. This can help me in my double page by having the image in one page and the text on the other which can relate to the TV drama.
5) Read at least three example features from newspapers and magazine to learn the format, writing style and content for a culture magazine. You may wish to use the following to help you:
Time Out - The 10 Best TV shows of the week (1,500 words)
Benedict Cumberbatch hints at female future (250 words)
Planning, sketching and writing
1) Plan a title and slogan for your new, original culture magazine. Sketch out possible designs for the masthead - font, style, colour etc.
Title-Suave
Slogan-
2) Plan the content for your magazine front cover. Your double-page spread will be the main story but what other cover lines, images and more will you include on the cover?
I will have one central image in the front cover and use two cover lines in the front cover.
3) Write a list of the all the features, regular sections and more that will appear on your contents page. If you've chosen to produce a different internal page, plan that here instead.
I will include things such as interview cast, interview with the director and maybe competitions.
The main feature can be about how knife crime is increasing in London and how dangerous it is for my target audience to be using knife.
5) Write the text for your double-page spread feature. This needs to be a minimum of 400 words and be completely original and feature an aspect of your TV drama. Make sure you include a headline, subheading and any pullout quotes or sidebar contents.
In the TV drama Trap stories, our message to the young
teenager watching our show is that knife crime is something which needs to stop
in the society as it is increasing every year. For example from 2016 to
2019,the knife crime has increased by 21% and the TV drama wants to promote
that the crime life is not something which is good and they are showing by
their narrative that it doesn't have good effect in your life. In the
interview, When the director jaswinder was asked questions about the message he
wants to give the audience the n he gave the reply by saying want to ensure
that the young audience get the message from the that crime drama that this is
not something which will help you in the future and will create a lot of
problems for yourself in your relationships and also your physical health”.
Furthermore In this show the narrative will show how the protagonist is getting
into crime and getting peer pressured by other young people to get into crime.
Additionally this will then show how young people get easily influenced into
crime and do a lot of wrong things by getting into it.The TV drama will show a
number of crimes like drugs trafficking, money laundering and fraud which will
be shown in the drama and will also show the negative impacts it has on the
society and young people. The director, Jaswinder shared with us how one of the
scenes will be showing how drugs like balloons will impact the body and the
reaction that one of the young kids have by having too many of balloons. However this TV drama did get
criticised by some media influence as they think this show is promoting
violence and crime for young people and instead of helping this show is encouraging
young people to get into crime.
7) Produce an A4 sketch of your contents page. This can be a single page of A4 or alternatively a double-page spread (A3).
8) Produce an A4 landscape sketch of your double page spread design now you have chosen the subject matter.
