strengths-covered all the editing aspects and the weakness is that the camera and sound quality is very poor.

5) Learner response: what aspect of editing did you find most difficult? What have you learned from this process that will help you when you start the actual coursework later this year?

the 180 degree rule was very hard to understand and do as the camera positions can change slightly which can ruin the whole rule and this has helped me for my coursework for next year as this has taught me how to edit when two people are having conversation and also learned that the camera needs to be focused on the subject properly.

In the introduction of the clip there is a tracking shot of al the characters walking into the setting which is the liberty high school.furthermore than there is a panning shot which takes place inside the school near the locker of the new students when clay is talking about the suicide of Hannah baker.in addition there are no close-ups which shows that they are not focusing in one character from the series.The camera quality is very clear and there were medium shots taken when the characters are speaking that shows us clearly who is speaking.

There are a lot of shots being used in the video and the long shot shows us the setting of the place clearly and the low-key lightning shows that there is something mysterious going on in the place and that can probably make the audience frightened .furthermore the close-up shots of the characters in the end also builds more tension and the sound is also parallel which goes with the scene quiet well.

The close ups of the clips show us that there is something wrong with girl as she seems to be very sad which shows there is a chance that something tragic might have happened to her.furthermore these close-ups towards the girls show that she is in a horrible position which makes the audience have sympathy towards the girl.

The different shots and camera movement help us to see all the characters and settings which is by the medium shots which show us the protagonist face and help us see the facial expressions which show us that he is quite drunk.There are other segments which are also important like the bright lights being used to show that there is a lot of happiness and joy in the scene.

750 word analysis

This is  the trailer for Avengers 4 end game (2019) and In the start the establishing shot is one of the main characters of the avengers which is the iron man it starts with the focus on the mask with the parallel sound which is non diegetic which is very well established by the character and therefore it starts to focus more on the setting with the long shot.the setting is space and the earth and we know the difference by the long shots and lightning. Furthermore the diegetic sound from the character makes us feel like we are seeing things from the character’s point of view.in addition there is a narrative from the character speaking when they are showing the setting and also a 180 degree rule with the character speaking towards the mask which is also shown in a long shot.
In the first scene the character is giving a message and we don’t know what has happened to him but the costume that the character is wearing in the first scene is a vest and his facial expressions and body language show that there is something wrong with the character and he is in a very vulnerable place.therefore by recording in the iron man helmet he is looking like he has no choice for him and is an death situation.

Furthermore the costume overall is very classic which is all smart and some of them are wearing their costume which is based on their character as they are all superheroes.
There are a lot of close up shots when the characters are speaking and this also builds tension as every time r they speak the sound also changes which makes us more curious to know what is taking place in the scene. Therefore there is a medium-shot at some characters speaking and there are long shots which give the audience a clear picture about who is in the movie. There is also an 180 degree rule applied in one of the scenes when the characters are speaking which is shot in close-up that also shows there facial expressions which shows that they are all worried about something and it can be  because of iron man missing and sending his messages from space.Furthermore the high key lightning show that the character is not in a good situation as it looks like he is stuck somewhere as his mask is broken and his facial expressions are also showing that he is panicking and very worried. Therefore low-key lightning is shown when the focus changes to the setting where all the characters are and when they are having a conversation. The props for example like the weapon is showing that there is a lot of violence in the film .

The sound is always changing form Furthermore this goes on to be a long shot of the setting of the place that it is set up on that is the avenger’s house and the sound changes which is also non diegetic sound and is parallel as it matches what they are showing. Furthermore the tracking shot of one the character walking which is with small details with his hands telling us that it is the character thanos and then suddenly it goes straight on focus to character crying which shows that there is something tragic that took place.in addition the sound always changing according to the scene as when they are showing the setting the sound is high and it is very low when they are showing the character speaking. Therefore the sound also changes when there is an action scene with a big knife so this makes it look more real than before. Furthermore this clearly shows the genre that is shown in the film.

In the end the title comes up in a slow motion which slowly fades away with a black screen which turns into a scene showing that there was a flashback and there is something mysterious that they didn’t know about it which they see through the CCTV from their home an they have a very abnormal reaction to that which shows that the movie can be linked directly with that flashback which will be shown to the audience. Therefore this makes the audience very curious about the movie and it makes them impatient about what to expect when they are watching the movie.Therefore there is a lot of confusion about the timeline about the movie from the start by iron man and the end in flashback.

1) Write an analysis of the cinematography in the opening sequence. Highlight your use of media language and try to cover camera shots, angles and movement using the terminology we have learned in lessons.

The opening scene starts with long shorts of the setting and then it goes to close up to show the character's face who is wearing the mask .therefore the setting is shown properly with the long short and they also used the tracking shot which was when the character was walking .Therefore there are medium close-up at his face when he is taking the mask off.In addition his props are also been shot as close-ups to show the importance of them.furthermore high angle shots are taken when the view is shown of the character and animals.

2) How does the camerawork give the audience clues about the setting, narrative and character?

The camerawork gives the audience an idea of what setting it is in because the setting is shown in top angle and small details like animals are shown in close-up which showed that the setting is in a different world and the character is also very different as the character is shown to have a mask and have another side of him which is very funny as he was dancing.

The shot is a medium close-up from the clown's face which is meant to be very scary.furthermore this can possibly make the audience feel a little bit scared from the character.


The shot is a long shot which shows all the different character that are shown in the movie to show the significance of them and also shows the audience that there is a possible way that there is a action scene coming up

in my opinion my WWW is that i  made my video with all the different camera shots that i was supposed to and my ebi is that i need make headings for my video and also make sure that my story line makes sense.

when i start my coursework the first thing i will do is work in my ideas and have everything planned before i start shooting and also for my editing use sound that matches the scene we are shooting for.furthermore i need to make use that my camera is focused at all times when i am shooting for my shot.

This video has   all   the shots  which are by  the shoulder and long or establishing shots to convey the multiple peoples emotions. therefore there are a  lot of depressing and emotional acts are taken place of boy who is unable to make his love story true. furthermore close up shots deliver the up close emotion of the character; this will create vicarious pleasure for the audience since they will grow attachment towards the main character. Many audiences may relate to this situation since its situated in a school.

I liked samie's video because all the sounds were shown very clearly and which were not shown clearly in our clip and the transition was also better. The other clip would be of nauman's because he included diegetic sound and we mainly focused on non diegetic sound. The third clip will be lud's clip as it smooth transitions and had very interesting clips.

parallel and contrapuntual sound video

This youtube video was created to show parallel sound and contrapuntal sound with scenes from movies. therefore some clips show no synergy with the song and that is known as contrapuntal sound. This then  generates a sense of confusion and humor for the audience as the sound doesn't match the scenes . In this montage,  i have also  used emotional songs with some depressing scenes to exhibit parallel sound which normally associates with the scene. However, I used a romantic song with a scene denoting violence and blood .Furthermore then i added another fight scene with a GrM song which also portrays romance in an informal manner.

www-my subject was very clear which was my face and the plan for my makeup was also successful.therefore my lightning at the end was also something which linked well with the genre

next time when i do it then i will make sure i have a different camera and i will also make sure that the subject of the video is clear .therefore also avoid using copyright music.
furthermore in the future i will also do my editing properly which will include the title,subject and slow/fast motions.



I have learnt from the persona mine en scene that small details like costume and lightning play a very big role to miss-enscene therefore changing your look with makeup also gives you an entire different character related to the makeup.

film noir

a film noir  is a type of genre which was in 1950's which is focused on a type of mood  and is something very mysterious.the lightning is black and white which is mostly low key lightning but isn't as they didn't have colour in that time so when it started it was high key lightning as we could see the actors face properly and then it was looking very realistic throughout so it was high key lightning used and we could see everyone's face clearly but there was some type of tension as one of them females were holding the prop of glass and her facial expressions looked like she is a female fatale and at the end there is a shadow which clearly shows that there is something mysterious which links into film noir as it is very mysterious and the lightning helps the scene .therefore there is top lightning used which is a reason why we can see al their faces clearly.furthermore this links to film noir because it looks like there is something hidden from the audience and the costume that they mostly are wearing is also black which also makes us in a particular mood and makes us think there is something mysterious going on.

before recording i planned what i expected to do which was to put makeup on my face in a way that i look scary as i painted half of my face in red and the other half in white with the contrast of me colouring my lips in black but it was really hard for me to start this and i needed a lot of help so i asked some of my friends to help me to finish my task for the video and at the end i switched off the lights and turned my flash on to make it look scary and link into the horror genre.therefore i   believe that my plan worked out but next time i need to use a better camera and do my makeup as clean as possible.

the costume that they are wearing is from an ancient era and is of historian time therefore they are all half naked which shows that this is from Romanian times.the lighting used is high key lighting which shows all the actors properly and their positions as it is very easy to identify which one has the most authority as their are two characters in the background holding the prop sword and are standing in one position which is the guard and their are three other characters in middle which shows us that they have more authority then others and it is because the lightning is focused on them.therefore by looking at the picture i can say that the setting is an old monument or it’s something ancient.

In the clip i can see that the costume that they all have wore is casual and mostly is in the colour black which shows us that the season will have a lot of action and the lightning is mostly high key and low key at times but by the trailer i can see that there is a lot low-key lightning used to show that some characters want revenge .the actors are all very much looking like that they are serious by their facial expressions.therefore the props that they have used are guns and weapons which shows us that there is alot of action and violence in the series.the setting of this is looking like it’s in the streets of london and thr subject matter is about is possibly about drugs and crime.



In this clip i can see that the costume they are wearing is casual and are wearing the same colour brown which shows us that they are all together in a team.the lightning used is high key as most of the scences are in daylight as the setting of this is in the college and a forest and in the whole trailer we can see most of the scenes are from the forest.Therefore the actors facial expressions tell us that they have never experienced to be stuck in the forest before and the props used in this are vehicles guns and weapons which summarise it and tell us that the movie is full of action.the setting which is the forest tell us tht the movie is very adventurous and there is probably a tragedy as they go from college to forest which is a whole different setting and change.

In this clip I can see that the costume that they are wearing is smart ,casual and most importantly are wearing armors which shows me that the movie is full of action and by the low key lightning it shows us that there is something strange about the characters and there is something which the audience doesn’t know and needs to find.the actors facial expression and body language is very aggressive which connote to me that there is something mysterious.furthermore the props they mainly use is cars which is the most significant thing in the movie as the trailer starts and finishes with fast cars which shows us that they have a very important role in the movie.therefore there are other props like guns which shows us that a lot of action is taking place in the movie.the setting of the place looks like an urban city in America .

By looking at the picture I can say that the film is about two rivals fighting with each other and possibly one of them wants to control the world and the other one is trying to stop him.
The film genre is action clearly as one of the character is holding a gun in the poster and the name blade hunter suggest that it has a lot of action and possibly murders
